How does tuition work?

 

Private lesson tuition is billed in 14-lesson increments three times a year and is based on the per lesson rate as follows:

 

For 30-minute private lessons, tuition is $720 per 14-lesson term, based on a lesson rate of $51.43

For 45-minute private lessons, tuition is $1080 per 14-lesson term, based on a lesson rate of $77.15

For 60-minute private lessons, tuition is $1440 per 14-lesson term, based on a lesson rate of $102.86

Students who begin after a term has already started will have their tuition prorated according to the number of lessons remaining in the term. Terms begin September 1, January 1, and May 1. Students not continuing into the summer term of 14 lessons May 1 - August 31 can have their lessons prorated to fit their vacation schedule.

What lesson lengths are available?

 

Private lessons are available in 30, 45, and 60 minute lesson increments.

 

Our 45- and 60-minute programs are designed for students who would benefit from a more in-depth lesson experience.

The additional lesson time allows for greater attention to repertoire, technique, music theory, sight-reading, musicianship, and artistic development. Guitar and Violin students are also invited to attend and have the opportunity to learn rudimentary piano skills.

 

More Than a Private Lesson

At Wright Music Academy Center for the Arts, our goal is to create a music-immersive experience for every student.

In addition to weekly private instruction, students have opportunities throughout the year to participate in recitals, special events, collaborative music-making, and other learning experiences designed to support their musical growth.

Piano Ensemble Included with Private Lessons

Students enrolled in private lessons may participate in our Piano Ensemble Class at no additional cost.

Piano Ensemble meets every other week for 45 minutes, typically on a Friday or Saturday.

Students have the opportunity to develop:

• Ensemble playing skills
• Listening and musical coordination
• Rhythmic accuracy
• Sight-reading skills
• Performance confidence
• Collaborative musicianship

These experiences complement private instruction and help students develop into confident, well-rounded musicians.
